Mandarin Oriental Palace
Afternoon Tea served on the Belle Époque veranda
Experience an Afternoon Tea in one of the most beautiful hotels, offering an unrivaled view of shimmering Lake Lucerne and the Swiss Alp
At the start, you have the option to select a teapot from a variety of black, green, herbal, or white teas. You can refill the teapots as many times as you want, and you also have the flexibility to choose a different tea for each serving.
Champagne can be ordered separately and is not included in the standard Afternoon Tea package.

The culinary journey starts with a delightful amuse-bouche, followed by a variety of sandwiches: egg salad with crème fraîche, chicken, smoked salmon with cream cheese, baked vegetables (although not traditional, it is absolutely delicious and also featured on a rotating menu), and beef bruschetta.
One scone is served with Crème de Gruyère (although I personally prefer traditional Clotted Cream) and jam. However, refills are not offered. Instead of a second scone with raisins, a pink brioche is served.
The Afternoon Tea concludes with a selection of handmade pastries by Clément Laurent, such as citrus Madeleines, chocolate cake, and peanut cookies. Please note that these pastries can vary and change regularly.
Compared to high-end traditional British Afternoon Tea experience, this one does not offer any food refills, which is a bit below the expectations. Scones are always as central part of a show, and instead of the second scone the pink brioche is served. However, the quality of food and ambiance is among the best options for Swiss Afternoon Tea I had so far.
